The Kent of Area of NAFAS 59th Annual General Meeting will take place electronically as a Zoom Webinar at 10.30am on Saturday 7th November 2020 .
A Zoom webinar is slightly different from the Zoom meetings with which you may be familiar. It will be more like watching the AGM at Ditton with a panel of speakers. You do not need to have a Zoom account or any special software to take part you just need to click on the link below. It should work from your computer, iPad or even your phone. You do not need a microphone. Please copy this below to join the webinar: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/86147110775 We aim to start promptly at 10.30 so it would be a good idea to click the link before then. You will be placed in a “waiting room” until we are ready to start. You will be asked to enter your name on entry and I believe you will also be asked for your email address. We need the names for the minutes and the system has the email request as essential and we cannot disable it. We will not be storing the email addresses. The webinar will be recorded to assist with minute taking but will be deleted once the minutes are completed. If you are not used to using Zoom and want to practice logging in to check it works, please contact Gill Smaggasgale on [email protected] who will arrange a practice log in. The agenda for the meeting, the minutes of the last AGM, and the accounts for the years 2018/19 and 2019/20 can be downloaded from The Area page of this website The Trustee's Report and Accounts for the year ended 31st March 2020 for the National Association of Flower Arrangement Societies 2003 (ie the national organisation) are now available and can be downloaded below. ![]()
We have today been advised that National Chairman, Christina Curtis, has resigned and that Katherine Kear, who was elected as Vice Chairman at the National AGM last week, will take the position of National Chairman. We attach a letter from Katherine.
Travel providers ECT recently ran a virtual flower festival. They received entries from all over the UK, Ireland, Italy, Australia, Barbados and the US. We are delighted to see an entry from our own Kent News editor, KM of Ashford Flower Club. Her design is below. Click here to see all of the designs.
