Area Demonstrators Representative.
We are delighted to announce that Jacqui Arnold has been appointed the Demonstrators' Representative for Kent Floral Art. Jacqui's wealth of experience, both as an award winning competitor and National Demonstrator is a wonderful addition to the Kent Team. Kent Flower Club Members will certainly benefit from her enthusiasm and knowledge. The Demonstrators Representative is part of the JDSE&P committee. They also attend Demonstrator Representative meetings held by NAFAS National Demonstrators Committee and then pass on information from those meetings to Demonstrators in the Area and to the JDSE&P Chair. They look after Demonstrators who visit Kent for Area Days. Periodically refresher days are organised for demonstrators to reflect on our demonstrations and consider how to achieve that 'wow factor' How to become an Area Demonstrator Being a demonstrator can be very rewarding. A candidate must attend accredited days of training . there is also a mock and final test before an audience. Candidates complete two designs during the test followed by a plant identification. Candidates need to know the elements and principles of design so they can state and apply them. A portfolio prepared by the candidate explains the other designs that they would do for a club demonstration. If you are interested in becoming a Demonstrator, help will be given on gaining confidence, please contact the Area demonstrators Representative jacquiarnold53@hotmail.com |
