A Spring Gathering
Floral Art's Spring Gathering, organised by the JDSE&P Committee, was a fun-filled day. In the morning we were entertained by Bronda Dossett, a NAFAS national speaker, who had us all laughing and even dancing with her 'Tales from Downton Abbey'. After lunch we were mesmerised by the talent and beautiful floral designs created by the Gill McGregor, a NAFAS National Teacher and author, who is known internationally for her creative designs and demonstrations.

Kent Floral Art AGM 2023
In earlier November 2023, members from all over Kent met at Ditton for our Annual AGM in which we said goodbye to Area Chairman Gill Smaggasgale and welcomed new Area Chairman Cecilia Sleap. Unfortunately, Area President Genister Spencer was unable to be present and so the meeting was chaired by Gill Smaggasgale and Avril Hill, Honorary Member and Elder Statesman, kindly stepped in to present the "badges". After the AGM we were entertained to a fabulous demonstration from Angela Turner. Angela has given permission for a few photos to be shared but they do not do justice to the fabulous stage full of flowers she ended with.

Club Day 2023 - Elham
Didn't we have a lovely time the day we went to Elham?
Kent Floral Art Club day took place in the delightful village of Elham near Canterbury. Despite the heat we had a wonderful time and thoroughly enjoyed the day, catching up with friends, shopping opportunities and a great day of entertainment. In the morning we were entertained and informed by Brenda Eyres with a talk entitled "If you Want to Get Ahead..... Get a Hat!". Following our packed lunches in the garden of the hall enjoying the scenery, we were completely wowed by the extremely talented Mark Entwistle who had travelled from Cheshire to be with us. Mark's gentle style, fabulous designs and generosity of tips and information meant that the audience leapt to their feet for an extended standing ovation.

WOW - what a fabulous day we had at All Kinds of Everything on St.Patrick's Day 17th March 2023 organised by our hardworking JDSE&P committee. Kent Floral Art members started the year as they mean to go on and showed their Friendship Through Flowers by producing designs on the theme of LOVE.

Floral Tributes for Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II
Members of Kent Floral Art have produced floral tributes to honour the life and dedication of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. Some in cathedrals, some in churches, some for civic memorials and some in the home. Thank you Ma'am from us all and for showing the true meaning of service. May you Rest in Peace

A most enjoyable day at a stunning venue. Photos show: the preloved stall, entrance flowers by Shadoxhurst Club, Kent's Trading stall, Arthur Clatworthy with his stands and wood turning, Raffles, Teas, the media board, Val Frewin with the Flower Arranger stand, Tricia Stewart one of the original Calendar Girls, images from Tricia's talk, Kent Floral Art's new banners, our lunch under the trees and a couple of images from Delyth Price's demonstration in the afternoon. Delyth is a National Demonstrator from Wales.
