Lots of happy Kent Members enjoying a JDSE&P session on Principles of Design.
There will be a teach-in for Kent Area clubs on how to use the features of Zoom such as "spotlight", "share screen" and "breakout groups". If you would like to hear about this and have a go yourself, the session will be at 3.30 on Friday 5th March. The session will be limited to 15 people so there is time for everyone to have a go. Many of our participants were trying petite for the first time and they all did extremely well. Head over to our Gallery page to see all the designs. The pound coins were included in each photograph of the design to give an indication of scale.

70 members of Kent Area attended a Zoom meeting with the JDSE&P committee to hear about the Elements of Design. If you would like to attend the talk about the Principles of Design, please see the flyer of the JDSE&P page of this website.
We are delighted to announce that Second Place in the National Chairman's Challenge for February entitled "Burns Night" has been won by Kent Area's entry designed by Jean Hoar of Hartley Flower Club. Congratulations Jean, we are proud of you. If your club would like to enter in the February round of the challenge, photographs of the design under the title "Valentine Time" should reach Area Chairman Gill Smaggasgale by 25th February. Only one design should be sent per club. Gill will then select a design to go forward to represent Kent.  Are you interested in sharpening up your presentation skills? Are you interested in training to be a NAFAS Speaker? We wanted to let all Kent Area members know that we are about to start some training. The first informal Zoom session is on Friday 19th February at 2.00pm.
