The schedule for the photography competition 2021 is now ready to download from the photography page of this page. Time to get your cameras out!
As it is not possible to distribute a hard copy of the usual magazine, an electronic version has been prepared. Go to the Kent News page of this website to download it.
For the third edition in a row, Kent Area members have featured in the Flower Arranger. Look out for designs from Jacqui Arnold, Helen Hare, Ellouise Hasler-Stott and Anne Luckett. What a wealth of talent we have here.
Over the Bank Holiday weekend Jacqui and Sue gave presentations on the Friends of NAFAS Facebook page. Jacqui shared a demonstration from her beautiful garden and Sue spoke about her experience of being part of the Kent Team who did the Chelsea exhibit - she was even wearing her pink jacket!
If you are a member of Friends of NAFAS Facebook page then do head over and watch their videos. If you are on Facebook but not yet a member then head over and apply to join so you can see the videos. Well done ladies The results of the Area Photographic competition are in. Details of the winning photos and photographers can be found on the photography page of this website and all the placed photographs are in the gallery. There were a massive 147 photographs entered over the 6 categories. Well done everyone! The judge was very impressed with the standard of the photographs.
The winner of the Carolyn Raisbeck Trophy has been awarded to Sue Shaw who won 1st prize in 3 classes; “Rhythm”, “Urban Beauty” and “Little Things Mean a Lot” … well done Sue! We have received this delightful certificate from NAFAS HQ to recognise our 60th Anniversary. Its a shame we cant get together now to celebrate but to quote Vera Lynn "We'll meet again...."
